Description

Gulf War Jaguars in action. Signed by the pilots who flew this mission.

Royal Air Force Jaguars, heavily armed and with Victor tanker Air-Refuelling support, flew from Al-Muharraq, Bahrain during the Gulf War, their mission to seek and destroy targets in Kuwait and southern Iraq. The 12 Jaguars flew 618 missions during the DESERT STORM air campaign without loss, a remarkable achievement that defied critics and secured the reputation of the Jaguar as a combat-proven, capable and effective fighter bomber.

This powerful image captures two weather-beaten Jaguars attacking a stricken Iraqi Navy Polnocny-Class landing ship. After making a low pass to identify their target as hostile the two Jaguar pilots unleashed a devastating attack with CRV-7 rockets and 30mm cannon fire into the burning ship.

Each limited edition print in the edition is signed by the two pilots who flew this mission: Group Captain William Pixton DFC AFC and his wingman Flt Lt Peter Tholen adding their signatures to enhance a print that is destined to become one of the best collector’s items from Operation DESERT STORM.

The edition is limited to 500 signed and numbered prints

Print Size: 65cm x 49cm

Each print is accompanied with a matching numbered certificate of authenticity.
