Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4s from No.6 Squadron Royal Air Force returning to their base after a successful NATO QRA intercept mission to identify and escort Russian Tu-95 Bear aircraft to the boundary of the UK/Norway Air Policing Area. Reformed in 2010 after a brief disbandment following the retirement of the Jaguar, No.6 Squadron became the third Royal Air Force front-line Eurofighter Typhoon Squadron.
The painting portrays a Norwegian Air Force F-16 taking over the escort duty as the Tu-95 Bears continue majestically above towering clouds towards their base on the Kola peninsula.
Only a few prints from this edition of 300 signed and numbered copies are available to collectors, with most of the edition assigned to members of No.6 Squadron.
